Sustainability, Our Vision, Pledges & Commitments

As a leading brand in the LED Neon sign industry, our vision is centred around sustainability and reducing our carbon footprint. We are committed to making a positive impact on the environment whilst providing high-quality and innovative signage solutions to our customers, minimising or completely eradicating waste, and ensuring our products, packaging and operations are as sustainable as possible and always being reviewed and improved.

Tayglow's Sustainability & Our Vision

To achieve this vision, we have integrated various strategies into our business practices. First and foremost, we prioritise energy-efficient manufacturing processes. By optimising our production methods and using energy-efficient equipment, we strive to minimise our energy consumption and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, whilst using solar generated power and renewable energy sources.

Another crucial aspect of our sustainability journey is the use of eco-friendly materials. We actively seek out and incorporate sustainable alternatives, such as recycled Acrylics and biodegradable components, in the production of our signs and packaging. This not only reduces our environmental impact but also supports the circular economy.

Encouraging the adoption of LED technology is a cornerstone of our sustainability efforts. LED signs are known for their energy efficiency and longevity, which means lower energy consumption and fewer replacements, ultimately reducing waste.

To further minimise waste, we have implemented waste reduction measures throughout our manufacturing process. We promote recycling and reusing materials whenever possible and are committed to all of our Acrylic waste being recycled back into our supply chain, rather than disposing of them in landfill. We only ever ship back the waste on empty return journeys of the delivery vehicles to further reduce any carbon footprint.

In addition to focusing on our internal operations, we also strive to be environmentally conscious in our external practices. We select sustainable packaging materials that are recyclable or biodegradable to reduce the environmental impact of shipping and transportation.

Our 100% Recyclable Packaging Promise

One of the key pillars of our packaging solution is the use of 100% recycled materials. We understand the environmental impact of traditional packaging methods, which often rely on single-use materials that contribute to pollution and depletion of natural resources. By exclusively utilising recycled materials, we not only reduce the demand for virgin resources but also divert waste from landfills, helping to close the loop and create a circular economy.

To ensure that every Tayglow product receives packaging that perfectly complements its unique sustainability qualities, we employ state-of-the-art precision laser CNC machines. These cutting-edge machines allow us to create bespoke packaging designs with incredible accuracy ensuring that each packaging component is precisely tailored to the specific dimensions and specifications of your order.

Green & Renewable Energy Sources & Supplier

At our design studio and workshop, we have embarked on a transformative journey towards sustainability by adopting renewable energy sources to power our operations. As a responsible business, we recognise the importance of reducing our carbon footprint and contributing positively to the environment. To achieve this, we have embraced solar panels as a primary means of generating electricity, leading us to become a role model for other enterprises seeking cleaner energy alternatives.

Harnessing the Power of Solar Energy: Our commitment to sustainability led us to invest in solar panel systems, strategically installed on the rooftops of our studio and workshop. These panels efficiently capture sunlight and convert it into clean, renewable electricity. As the sun is an abundant and inexhaustible energy source, our solar panels provide us with a constant supply of power, even on cloudy days. By tapping into this renewable resource, we have significantly reduced our dependence on conventional fossil fuels and lowered our overall carbon emissions.

Using a Renewable Energy Supplier: In addition to harnessing solar energy on-site, we are proud to partner with a 100% renewable energy supplier (Octopus Energy) for our remaining electricity and gas needs. This forward-thinking supplier shares our commitment to a sustainable future and provides us with power sourced exclusively from renewable resources such as wind, hydro, and biomass. By supporting such suppliers, we contribute to the demand for clean energy, encouraging the expansion of renewable infrastructure.

Tayglow x Stripe Climate Revenue Donations

At Tayglow Bespoke Neon Signs, we contribute 1% of our revenue to carbon removal.

Removing CO₂ from the atmosphere is critical to counteract climate change, but the technology is currently lagging behind. A percentage of every purchase from Tayglow Bespoke Neon Signs via Card Payments helps new carbon removal technologies scale.

Why we contribute: At Tayglow Bespoke Neon Signs, we believe businesses can play a critically important role in helping fight climate change. We’re proud to fund next-generation carbon removal.

Tayglow is part of Stripe Climate, a coalition of businesses accelerating carbon removal.

No company can stop climate change by itself. Stripe Climate aggregates funds from forward-thinking businesses around the world to increase demand for carbon removal. Stripe Climate works with Frontier, Stripe's in-house team of science and commercial experts, to purchase permanent carbon removal.

We support a portfolio of emerging technologies that remove CO₂ from the atmosphere.

Stripe Climate works with a multidisciplinary group of scientific experts to find and evaluate the most promising carbon removal technologies.

Tayglow x Green Cast: Re-Thinking PMMA

We’re living in a time where our paradigms are being redefined: new creative models, industrial models, consumption models are aiming towards a circular vision of economy and lifestyle. The focus is on: the reduction in primary resources use, reduction of waste and development of the concept ‘’re-use’’. The search of materials that can be recycled without losing their technical characteristics is the focus for every company.

In private life as well as in work activities, each has to answer a very important question: “What can I do for the world I live in?” For the last 10 years, Madreperla’s aim and challenge was to take steps to become more sustainable, both in their work environment, in their production process and products, and to re-think their business model.

The result of their efforts was Green Cast®, cast acrylic sheets produced 100% with recycled raw materials (R-MMA). PMMA, is a durable, noble plastic, well known for its transparency, for its ease of processing, for the multiple colours and finishes, for its resistance. But most importantly PMMA can be recycled, countless times, without ever losing all its important peculiarities.

Re-think, re-use, recycle that’s Green Cast®.

PMMA (Polymethyl methacrylate) can be recycled back to its original raw material, the organic solvent methyl methacrylate monomer, without the end product (cast acrylic sheets) losing its optical, mechanical and thermal properties.

The challenge at Madreperla for the last years was to act proactively to promote 100% recycled and recyclable products, and implementing with all the stakeholders a circular process. We have developed over the last years a sustainable value chain that we’re trying to perfect every day in cooperation with our partners.

They have invested in research, collaborating with Italian and German universities, to perfect a process of regeneration of PMMA waste, coming from end-of-life products and industrial waste.

The process, known as de-polymerisation process, allows to regain a high quality raw material, regenerated monomer (R-MMA), from which they produce Green Cast® sheets, cast acrylic sheets 100% recycled and recyclable.
